“Yellow-Ribbon” Song Inspires
“Bibles For Our Troops” Effort!

BRANSON, MO; Tony Orlando’s award-winning song “Tie A Yellow Ribbon,” has inspired the providing of over 125,000 Bibles being given to our troops, valiantly serving our country in Iraq, according to Dr. Cecil Todd, Founder & President of the Revival Fires Ministry.

“At the beginning of the Iraq war, I received a call from the Chief Chaplains of the Pentagon, asking me and the Revival Fires Ministry that I direct to provide the funds to print the Bibles for our soldiers,” said Dr. Todd. “I have been on assignment from the Pentagon providing these Bibles since July of 2003! Thus far, over 125,000 Bibles have been given to our troops, serving in Iraq.”

The heart of our fund raising efforts, says Dr. Todd, has been our “Yellow-Ribbon” rallies in churches and auditoriums across America and it was Tony Orlando’s popular song, “Tie A Yellow Ribbon To An Old Oak Tree” that inspired this whole effort! “Yellow” stands for hope, says Todd, and that’s what we try to bring to our nation and especially to our men and women in uniform.

The Todd’s, Cecil & Linda, are now on a big push to provide Bibles for 40,000 more soldiers, who are in the process of being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. The Bibles cost only $4.00 each to print. It is the full Bible, in camouflaged military colors, with pictures and special helps for the servicemen and women. This Bible is the only one designed and authorized by the Pentagon Chaplains and air-lifted by military transport straight to our soldiers, serving in Iraq. People who wish to help in this Bible effort for our troops, may send their tax deductible offerings to the Revival Fires Ministry; P.O. Box 1008; Branson West, MO 65737. Please mark your donations, “BIBLES FOR OUR SOLDIERS,” serving in Iraq.

Cecil & Linda Todd recently caught up with Tony Orlando in Las Vegas, where he was performing in his own show. Dr. Todd was also there to speak to a “Boy Scout” troop, who want to help in this “Bibles for our Troops” project. Tony Orlando and the Todd’s both travel nationally and internationally and live in the Branson area.
